Baška
On the south-eastern part of the island of Krk, protected by hills to both the north and south emerges Baška.
It is recognisable thanks to its Vela plaža, one of the most beautiful, more than 1800 m long, beaches in the Adriatic. Near Baška is a place called Jurandvor, where the Baška Tablet, the most important monument of Croatian written heritage originating in 1100 and written in Glagolitic script, was found.
