Southeast of Vrbnik, in the bay of Sv. Juraj, are the remains of a medieval church which is thought to have been built in the 12th or 13th century. The oldest record of its existence is from 1453, and it is said that the priests of Vrbnik once served here. Although it was abandoned in the 17th century, the remains of frescoes depicting the figure of St. George and a merchant sailing ship with three sails are still detectable.
