This parish church was built from 1767 to 1777, and due to a growth in population was expanded twice. The church has a baptistery, organ, a variety of relics and a number of paintings and statues of saints. The interior is adorned with a number of altars. The oldest and most valuable among them is the Baroque main altar dating back to 1787, which is the work of the priest and sculptor, Pavao Riedl. This is decorated with four large statues, whilst the Venetian painter, Domenico Fedeli Maggiotto is the author of the altarpiece of St. John the Baptist.
