Remains of sacral buildings of interesting configuration were found above the marina in Punat, in the area known as Kanajt. The existing building from late antiquity was partially converted into a church in the 6th century. In the dimensions of that church, a new, somewhat smaller, two-apse church was built in the early Middle Ages. Then, during the Romanesque period, between the 12th and 13th centuries, an even smaller church was built within the dimensions of this (smaller) church. The church stood there until the 19th century, when it was completely destroyed for the purposes of soil cultivation.
