Remains of sacral buildings of interesting configuration were found above the marina in Punat, in the area known as Kanajt. The existing building from late antiquity was partially converted into a church in the 6^th century. In the dimensions of that church, a new, somewhat smaller, two-apse church was built in the early Middle Ages. Then, during the Romanesque period, between the 12^th and 13^th centuries, an even smaller church was built within the dimensions of this (smaller) church. The church stood there until the 19^th century, when it was completely destroyed for the purposes of soil cultivation.
