At the intersection of the roads from Omišalj towards Krk and from the area of Dobrinj to Dubašnica are the remains of the abandoned village of Semenje. The name of this village comes from the local word "semenj" which means fair. It is believed that the village got its name as it once served as a centre where the inhabitants of the island of Krk exchanged their wares, and this theory is confirmed by a large number of old roads leading through the village.
