At the western entrance to Vela placa (the main square of Krk) we can find a square tower known as the Torrion. It was built during construction work on part of the walls according to the provisions of the Vinciguerra provveditore from 1489. The tower once housed the town hall and courtroom, and the town lodge could be found in front of it.
