When decorating the facility located on the Vela placa, an accidental discovery took place during the works, a unique hidden space that had been covered over for centuries and which was unveiled in the Town of Krk. Just fifteen metres wide, the space provides a display of the town’s expansion over more than two thousand years. The town’s rampart from the 4th and 3rd century BC was found here, then a wall from the 1st century as well as one from the 4th and the one from the 10th century. Finally, the “newest” rampart that can be seen from the outside dates back to the 15th century and can also be found here. In addition, the 9th century tower was also discovered, the altar of Temple of Venus and many other sites...
