St. Lucy’s abbey in Jurandvor near Baška was built on the foundations of an ancient 4th century farm. A Benedictine monastery once stood close to the early Romanesque church of St. Lucy, built at the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries. The church is known for the Baška tablet and the polyptych of St. Lucy and replicas of these are on display here. The church was renovated in the 14th century and a bell tower with the carved Croatian coat of arms was added. The abbey was abandoned in the middle of the 15th century.
