Wells are not just containers for rain and snow, but are also very specific and unique in architectural terms. On the island of Krk, these were only built by the inhabitants of Draga Bašćanska.

The Draga well is unique because it is covered by a false vaulted stone dome that is put together so that the water falls into a tank that is buried within the ground. Therefore, the inside has a domed form, while the top of the well from the outside is heaped with tiny rocks that form a flat surface for water collection and in order to direct it in the desired direction.
